DouxVin Wine Strategies helps people build eclectic collections of fine wines. As founder and CEO Warren Egnal explains, “DouxVin places an emphasis on value, helping people obtain fine wines within their price range. As an off-premise retailer, we do not have a physical storefront, which allows us to offer competitive pricing.”
Egnal grew up in South Africa, where his father was a wine aficionado, and wine was a constant in his family’s life. “My interest in wine grew from a hobby to a collection to an obsession. Finally, I decided to turn my passion into a business.” DouxVin helps individuals build and manage their wine cellars, and works with corporate clients to provide wine for gifts, holiday parties, and special events. They also offer educational opportunities that deepen people’s understanding of wine — tasting events, wine seminars, and wine dinners with Master Sommeliers.
“We take pride in understanding our clients’ unique needs and matching their tastes and interests,” Egnal says. “We introduce people to obscure and surprising wines from various countries, expanding their tastes through unconventional wines that they might not seek out otherwise.”
Egnal received a business loan from Hebrew Free Loan, and he now gives back to the agency through his membership in the Hebrew Free Loan Business Circle and donating exotic wines for events. “Hebrew Free Loan’s services helped me get where I am today. I’m happy to pay forward the help I received, and I’m proud to be a member of both the Business Circle and the Full Circle Club. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for wine with the Hebrew Free Loan community.”
