The San Francisco Bay Area has a variety of resources that make it a vibrant hub for Jewish cultural, educational, and spiritual life. The list below also includes trusted state and national partners and orgs that provide valuable resources to our Jewish community.

Congregation Emanu-El – San Francisco
A central hub for Jewish life in San Francisco, offering a wide range of services including worship, adult education, social justice programs, and lifecycle events. It also provides support for young families, young adults, and seniors​.

Jewish Community Center of San Francisco
One of the main JCCs in the Bay Area, it hosts cultural events, fitness programs, youth activities, and Jewish learning opportunities for all ages​.

Peninsula Jewish Community Center
Located in Foster City, California, it serves both the Jewish and broader communities on the San Francisco Peninsula, offering a wide variety of programs and services, including fitness and wellness, cultural and Jewish life, family and youth programs, adult learning, and community services.

Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley
Provides s
upport for older adults and their caregivers, refugee resettlement, mental health counseling, financial assistance and support, and holocaust survivor services.

Contemporary Jewish Museum
A museum in downtown San Francisco dedicated to contemporary Jewish culture, art, and history, offering exhibits, public programs, and events​.

Bay Area Jewish Camp Collective
A local consortium that educates Bay Area families about the range of amazing Jewish overnight camps serving our area, each offering a unique, immersive summer experience.

Be’chol Lashon
Be’chol Lashon (Hebrew for “in every language”) strengthens Jewish identity by raising awareness about the ethnic, racial and cultural diversity of Jewish identity and experience. Be’chol Lashon brings the historic Jewish commitment to civil rights and racial justice forward into the 21st century. Embracing the historical diversity of the Jewish people and, more importantly, the growing diversity of the community today is the most important step toward securing relevancy in an exciting American future.

BimBam
BimBam uses digital storytelling to spark connections to Judaism for learners of all ages. Videos explore holidays, history, lifecycle traditions, Torah, Jewish texts and more.

Dayenu Judaica
Local, family-owned business dedicated to all things Jewish, located at the JCCSF. Enjoy a large selection of items crafted by local and Israeli artists for holidays and special occasions – tallits, kippahs, menorahs, ketubahs, Shabbat sets, holiday décor, Jewish books and more. Here I Am
“Here I Am” is a new initiative demonstrating the vibrancy, diversity, and values of the Bay Area Jewish community. Through grassroots storytelling videos, this project seeks to bring to light the community’s personal experiences with antisemitism, and educate our neighbors how to be Jewish allies in this fraught moment.

Honeymoon Israel
Honeymoon Israel’s mission is to provide immersive trips to Israel for locally based cohorts of couples that have at least one Jewish partner, early in their committed relationship, creating communities of couples who are building families with deep and meaningful connections to Jewish life and the Jewish people​.

Israeli Consulate
For local residents planning to visit Israel or Israeli citizens residing in Northern California, the consular department in San Francisco assists with visa services, passports, translation services, notary and more.

JBridge
JBridge is a hub of opportunities and resources for Jewish teens (and the people who care about them) in the Bay Area. Designed to support teens in navigating their own unique paths, JBridge helps teens experience all that being Jewish has to offer as they grow, explore, and discover who they are.

Jewish Community Library
Explore thousands of books, movies and music covering a vast range of Jewish subjects: Cookbooks, children’s literature, mysticism, histories, novels and so much more. You’ll find the Jewish Community Library pushcart in the front lobby from 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM on days that 60+ Luncheons are scheduled. Jewish Baby Network
Jewish Baby Network is creating a pluralistic community in the SF Bay Area where families of all kinds learn, share, and celebrate together. Jewish Baby Network is for Bay Area expecting parents and families with at least one child age newborn through thirty-six months.

Jews of Color Initiative
The Jews of Color Initiative is a national effort focused on building and advancing the professional, organizational and communal field for Jews of Color. The Initiative focuses on grantmaking, research and field building, and community education.

JVS – Jewish Vocational Services
JVS transforms lives by helping people build skills and find work to achieve self-sufficiency. Their programs focus on industries that are hiring and can offer career path jobs, such as healthcare, financial services, technology and trades. Support ranges from in-person job search essentials training to group meetings and 1:1s with a career advisor.

Keshet
Keshet works for the full equality of all LGBTQ Jews and families in Jewish life. Explore LGBTQ Jewish Resource Library, discover opportunities for activism and learning and check out community events for all ages.

KlezCalifornia
KlezCalifornia is a living resource that connects people and communities with Yiddish culture.

Mikveh Israel B’nim San Francisco

New Lehrhaus
The Bay Area hub for adult Jewish learning. Inspired by Franz Rosenzweig’s “Free Jewish Lehrhaus,” established in Frankfurt in 1920, Lehrhaus Judaica was one of the crown jewels of the Bay Area community and was unique in North America. New Lehrhaus will continue the work!

PJ Library
PJ Library sends free Jewish children’s books to families across the world every month. PJ Library shares Jewish stories that can help families talk together about values and traditions.

Rhoda Goldman Plaza
Discover what many consider the “jewel” of San Francisco’s assisted living and memory care communities, built on a foundation of not-for-profit values and Jewish principles.

San Francisco Bay Area Jewish Genealogical Society
The San Francisco Bay Area Jewish Genealogical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development, preservation and distribution of Jewish genealogical knowledge and material, and the sharing of techniques and tools with others who may be searching their Jewish roots.

San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living
San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living is an integral part of a continuum of care throughout the Bay Area that provides senior adults with a variety of life enriching programs and services that are accessible, promote individual dignity, encourage independence, connect them to their community, and reflect the social, cultural, and spiritual values of Jewish tradition.

Shalom Bayit

Shalom Bayit is the Bay Area’s center for domestic violence prevention and response within the Jewish community. They promote peaceful homes and families, teach skills for healthy relationships, and work to build a safe, vibrant Jewish community that is free from violence and abuse.

Sinai Memorial Chapel
Since 1901, Sinai Memorial Chapel has helped families in the greater San Francisco Bay Area honor the death and memory of their loved ones. They help people fulfill their personal wishes at their time of loss and can guide them in the practices of Jewish tradition.
